Carob Apple Cake with Rum Buttercream frosting
"In 99% of the time, I’m extra harsh on myself and my work. Even if I get tiny bit of satisfaction, it’ll disappear in a couple of days because I’ll set the bar higher and want to be better. That’s just who I am. In a way, I’m not mad about it, but I’d like to be a little nicer to myself and acknowledge progress accordingly. Allow myself to be happy. And that’s what I’m doing today. I got out of my comfort zone with this image, trying to set a different scene. I delayed shooting this cake, because I envisioned the whole scene, but was afraid of executing it. I’m so glad I didn’t give up, because this is one of my favourite images so far. And I’m not ashamed to admit that, because sometimes it’s necessary to applaud yourself, even if no one else does. That’s not being self-centered, that’s called self-care. 🌟 . This is Carob Apple Cake with Rum frosting and chocolate ganache filling. Inspired by delicious carob apple bundt cake recipe by @lili.basic I made a couple of years ago. 😍We are both from Dubrovnik and carob is a produce specific for that area. It’s one of those foods you either love or hate. It’s sweet, with both fruity and nutty aromas. Have you ever tried it? I’ve grown to love it when combined with chocolate and booze. 🙈"
