A Festive, Cookie-Filled Day at FeedfeedLosAngeles

It can feel tough to get into the holiday spirit when you live in LA, the land of no seasons! We definitely don't get a white winter like the rest of our team on the East Coast! Instead, we hosted a spirited holiday cookie swap, a first for our Los Angeles studio! The Feedfeed LA space was turned into a magical winter wonderland with over eighty attendees. We adorned every corner with seasonal poinsettias, pine garlands, and icicle Christmas lights, spreading the holiday cheer to all who were near!

The main attraction was our center table, which we filled with guest's homemade holiday cookies. Festive activities included an elegant wreath decorating station and two additional cookie decorating stations - one with royal icing by Alanna of @cubandcuppy, and a gorgeous wildflower pressed shortbread cookie station by Loria of @loriastern. Huge thank you to Alanna and Loria for helping us with our cookie decorating techniques! Alanna brought a holiday-inspired decorating kit with sparkles, pearls, and white royal frosting. Loria led a totally different type of decorating station, as she specializes in pressing any type of flower onto shortbread cookies. The flowers are so beautiful and eye-catching!
To top it all off, we created a hot cocoa bar with every delicious topping you could imagine: candy canes, Oreo cookie and heath bar bits, and marshmallows in all different sizes. Between cookie decorating and a hot cocoa bar, things can get a bit crazy! Luckily, we had Bounty Paper Towels to clean up our mess. |

The ambiance and event itself would not have been possible without our amazing and dedicated co-hosts, Ryan and Adam of @husbandsthatcook, Loria Stern of @loriastern and Pamela Salzman of @pamelasalzman.

Upon arrival guests were greeted with two hot cocoa stations! The Feedfeed created a DIY hot cocoa station where you could build your own concoction using the our own cocoa recipe. From there, guests could add whatever toppings and flavors they desired and take home for later or to give as a gift. Warm hot cocoa was also available, and thanks to Kroger we had every topping imaginable! From spices like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg, to toppings such as peppermint, chocolate curls, pirouettes, coconut flakes, marshmallows, sprinkles, and of course whipped cream! Holiday in a cup!
Rumor has it that everyone likes to splurge and indulge around the holiday season. So our guests were sippin’ on Simple Truth wine from Kroger. Simple Truth makes a lovely organic Sauvignon Blanc grown on sustainable committed organic vineyards in New Zealand. It went well with all the cookies and hot chocolate! Feedfeed also had our favorite bubbles by Spindrift. Guests got creative and were mixing the Sauvignon Blanc with the spindrift to create the most amazing and tasteful afternoon spritzer!

Once the party was in full swing and the guests had a chance to experience all of the stations, they were given a large cookie tin to collect and place all their cookies! Everyone went down the line and chose their favorites from the variety beautifully laid out on our long tables.
Our wreath decorating station was the perfect addition for added holiday cheer. Not only was this SO much fun to participate in, but it smelled wonderful! It was definitely a fan favorite at the event - everyone was able to take home a special gift for themselves or a loved one. |

Once guests were on a sugar high from their hot cocoa and cookies, they decided to settle in at our food bar curated by our Feedfeed chef, Jesse Henderson (aka @incognitobandito). Jesse created different yet flavorful dishes that complement one another well. Our menu consisted of Pamela Salzman’s fall market salad with brussel sprouts, pomegranate and citrus dressing, the Feedfeed’s winter squash and persimmon soup with spiced Kroger baking nuts. For our small but mighty bites, we had avocado toast with serrano chile, radish & cumin-lime vinaigrette, and Ryan and Adam from @husbandsthatcook Spanish tortillas. Lastly, a gorgeous mezze platter with Kerrygold cheeses, Simple Mills gluten-free crackers, and radish butter using Kerrygold butter. |

Our Cookie Swap definitely got our team and our guests into the holiday spirit! We loved hosting this event and being able to meet more of our Los Angeles community. The holidays are often all about reflection, giving back, and being with our loved ones. It was a lovely event filled with laughs, gratitude, and love. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is ready to take on the New Year!
This event wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors Kroger, Bounty, Kerrygold and Simple Mills.
Be sure to check in with The Feedfeed. We will be posting many new recipes, giveaways and our upcoming events! We are currently getting ready for our LA launch party - so stay tuned!
