ingredients

  • 2 sticks cinnamon, plus more for serving
  • 1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 4 cups apple cider (or apple juice, unsweetened)
  • 1 orange, sliced in half
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

Method

  • Step 1

    Add all the ingredients into a large enough pot. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Strain into cups and enjoy.
