ingredients
- 8 ounces roughly chopped, divided white chocolate
- 3 teaspoons divided coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon divided peppermint extract
- 4 ounces roughly chopped dark chocolate
- 5 broken/crushed into small pieces candy canes
Method
Step 1
In a microwaveable dish, place half of the chopped white chocolate and 1 tsp of the coconut oil. Microwave for 1 minute, stopping halfway to stir. Once melted, add in a third of the peppermint extract and mix.
Step 2
On a parchment-lined baking sheet, pour the melted white chocolate and spread it into a thin layer. Place it into the fridge for about 10 minutes to mostly harden.
Step 3
In another microwaveable dish, add the dark chocolate and another 1 tsp coconut oil. Microwave for 1 minute, stirring halfway through. Once melted, pour in another third of the peppermint extract and mix.
Step 4
Pour the melted dark chocolate mixture on top of the mostly hardened white chocolate. Spread out the dark chocolate and place it in the fridge for about 10 minutes to mostly harden.
Step 5
Repeat step one with the remaining white chocolate, coconut oil, and peppermint extract. Pour this last layer of white chocolate on top of the mostly hardened dark chocolate layer and spread it out.
Step 6
Sprinkle on the crushed candy canes and place the entire bark into the fridge to fully harden. After about an hour, remove from fridge and break the bark into small pieces. Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
