ingredients
For Assembly:
- 1 12 pack Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional)
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Method
Step 1
Caramelize the onions: In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter. Add sliced onions, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 1 1/2 teaspoons Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Beef Base. Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized.
Step 2
In a separate skillet, heat olive oil. Add ground beef, remaining Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons Better Than Bouillon Organic Roasted Beef Base, and all seasonings. Cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, breaking the beef apart until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.
Step 3
Set oven to 350°F. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
Step 4
Make the cowboy butter: In a small bowl, mix all cowboy butter ingredients until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
Step 5
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish. Brush both cut sides with mayonnaise (if using), then spread about 1 cup of cowboy butter across both halves.
Step 6
Evenly layer the cooked beef, caramelized onions, and provolone cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls on.
Step 7
Brush the tops generously with more cowboy butter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Remove foil and bake uncovered for another 5 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 8
Let cool for a few minutes before slicing into individual sliders. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with extra cowboy butter on the side for dipping.
