ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 18 ounce Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

Method

  • Step 1

    Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. And set aside.

  • Step 2

    Melt butter in the saucepan.

  • Step 3

    Add water and salt. Bring to a boil

  • Step 4

    Using a wooden spoon, stir in flour and nutmeg.

  • Step 5

    Reduce the heat to low and stir continuously until the mixture forms a ball.

  • Step 6

    Remove the saucepan from the heat.

  • Step 7

    Gradually beat the eggs into the dough and stirring constantly.

  • Step 8

    Mix well until fully incorporated.

  • Step 9

    Spoon the churro dough into a pastry bag with a star tip.

  • Step 10

    Heat oil in a large saucepan.

  • Step 11

    Squeeze out a 3-inch strip of dough into the hot oil.

  • Step 12

    Fry the churros and turning them once until golden.

  • Step 13

    Transfer to the cooked churros to a plate lined with paper towels.

  • Step 14

    Roll the churros on the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Step 15

    Serve together with a chocolate dip and a bottle of sweet wine.
