ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 ounce white onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 5 tabelspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cup almond milk
  • 2 cup swiss cheese
  • 2 pound potatoes
  • 2 cup broccoli, florets

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Farenheit.

  • Step 2

    Prepare the vegetables by mincing the garlic and onions, peeling the potatoes and cutting them into thin slices.

  • Step 3

    Saute onion and garlic in butter until translucent.

  • Step 4

    Add the flour, white pepper and salt.

  • Step 5

    Slowly whisk in milk and bring to a simmer, constantly stirring until thickened.

  • Step 6

    Stir in 1 cup of cheese and simmer for 2 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.

  • Step 7

    Add the potatoes and broccoli to sauce and stir gently.

  • Step 8

    Transfer to a ramekins and bake for an hour.

  • Step 9

    Sprinkle with remaining cheese right before serving.
