ingredients

  • 1 ounce glass noodles
  • 5 ounce ground beef
  • 2 ounce shrimp
  • 1 ounce Carrots
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 ounce onion
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 ounce grated Parmesan
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 small egg
  • 12 vietnamese rice paper
  • Canola Oil for Frying

Method

  • Step 1

    Soak the glass noodles for 20 minutes

  • Step 2

    Cut noodles in four pieces.

  • Step 3

    Mix ground beef, minced shrimp, grated carrots, parmesan, and minced garlic.

  • Step 4

    Add finely chopped onions, black pepper, fish sauce, and salt.

  • Step 5

    Add a lightly beaten egg and mix until fully incorporated.

  • Step 6

    Brush warm water on the rice paper to soften.

  • Step 7

    Scoop a tablespoon of the meat mixture on to the Vietnamese rice paper.

  • Step 8

    Fold the rice paper over the filling.

  • Step 9

    Tuck the sides of the roll to form a cylindrical shape.

  • Step 10

    Fry the spring rolls until it puffs and is light brown

  • Step 11

    Drain excess oil by lining paper towel on a bowl.

  • Step 12

    Serve with your favorite vinegar-based sauce and a glass of cold light red wine.
