Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 1 servings fresh Cauliflower
  • 1 bottle at room temperature Prego Sauce
  • 3 servings fresh Portuguese Rolls
  • 1 tablespoons fresh Olive Oil
  • To Taste fresh Salt and Pepper

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

  • Step 2

    Slice your cauliflower into 1.5cm (0.6 inch) “steaks”. Leaving the large stem on the bottom so they maintain their shape. You should be able to get 3 slabs from one cauliflower. Keep the extra cauliflower florets for another use.

  • Step 3

    Place on a baking tray and rub the “steaks” with oil, prego sauce and a grind of salt and pepper.

  • Step 4

    Place them in the oven for 30 minutes, gently turning them once to brown both sides evenly.

  • Step 5

    Serve the “steaks” on Portuguese rolls with some extra sauce drizzled on the rolls.
