Can't decide between sweet & savory breakfast? We think this French toast is making a strong case for sweet! It's all about the toppings here--maple syrup, banana slices, and toasted walnuts tie it all together!
- 3 slices bread, of choice
- 1/ 2 cup eggnog
- 1 egg
- 1/ 2 teaspoon nutmeg, or to taste
- pinch sea salt
- Oil, for greasing
Whisk together the eggnog, egg, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl. Soak the bread in the mixture for 1 minute.
Lightly grease a nonstick pan and heat over medium. Sear the soaked bread on the pan for 2 minutes each side, until golden and crispy.
