Pumpkin Mocha Swirl Skull Cakes

Getting my spooky cakes ready for Halloween! 💀🐞🦋🐝

I've been wanting to try @zoebakes Pumpkin-Mocha Swirl Bundt cake from #zoebakes and here it is: Halloween style! Rich chocolate flavor from my @kingarthurbaking Black Cocoa and full of pumpkin+spice, Zoë likens this to a Pumpkin Spice Latte and I agree! Such a cozy, tender cake, I'll definitely make this one again!

I halved the recipe and divided it into my @nordicwareusa Mini Skull Cakelet and Backyard Bugs pans! It made 20 small skulls and 4 large bugs, my kids were very excited!

BY THE WAY, halving recipes is very easy when you use a scale instead of measuring cups! My @lifemeasuredbytaylor digital scales have been a game changer for me and my baking, allowing me to make smaller batches like this one instead of full sized cakes!

I find it funny that I won't buy the cute Nordicware Bunny pan for Easter (because how sad to eat the poor bunnies! 🐇) but I'll gladly buy a Bug pan and chomp those wings right off 😂🤷‍♀️ Figure that one out!
