ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup Solid ghee
  • 1/4 cup Powdered jaggery
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 3/4 cup Water

Method

  • Step 1

To a small pot add the water, powdered jaggery & cardamom powder. On medium heat, stir till the jaggery dissolves, let it come to one boil, turn off the heat and keep the pot aside.

  • Step 2

Heat another pan, keeping the heat on low, add in the ghee and let the entire ghee melt. Then add the peanut butter powder stir & mix well making sure there are no lumps. You have to keep stirring until the colour changes to a dark brown(2-3 minutes).

  • Step 3

Slowly add the jaggery solution in two parts. Be very careful as the mixture will start to bubble and splatter. Keep stirring add in the second part and keep stirring continuously until all the liquid evaporates and the whole mixture becomes one big soft ball and you will also notice that the mixture starts to separate from the sides of the pan. Once you have a nice big soft ball, turn off the heat and the Halwa is ready !

  • Step 4

Enjoy it warm (how I love it 🤩) OR if you want to shape them, let it cool down completely put in the fridge for a few hours until it hardens, make them into your desired shape, drizzle some peanut butter, sprinkle some chopped pistachio’s and enjoy.
